My mom supports my Romeoitis
You could say I have it bad just like Usher did in 2001. Everyone that's close to me knows how much of a Romeo fan I truly am. I swear I can hear a Romeo song a mile away. One day I was at work and someone walked in with earphones and some asked what song they were listening to cause it was barely audible, meanwhile I was already singing the verse, and I was right, title and everything. My mom supports me, anything she hears on the radio with Romeo involved she tells me about it as well as if he's going to be on television and I didn't know about it. She knows not to bother me when I'm listening to one of his songs and singing along like I always do. Once I had to tell her to hold on cause I was busy singing, it was my favorite part too.Sometimes people look at me like I'm strange cause I'm so into him and his music but that's when I really get into it and start saying how great of an artist he is and sing all in their face. There are so many new artists that come out on a regular basis that nowadays people don't have much admiration for just one artist and also just join the bandwagon and go with whoever is popular without even knowing who the artist is!! but my admiration for Romeo will always remain strong, that is unless he kills someone ^_^.

The only way to really understand someone who is such a die-hard fan the way you are, is to be a die-hard fan too. I understand your obsession. My musical obsession may not be with Romeo Santos but regardless, I know what it's like to love someone's music that much. I have a few favorite artists, they're not important though (Michael Jackson, Jay-Z, Eminem, Aaliyah, Damian Marley, Biggie Smalls, Kanye West, etc.). What's important is that I, too can barely get through a day without hearing these talented voices in my ear. Why do I like them? There's a million reasons I like the music I like just as you have a million reasons for admiring Romeo's music. The point is we have found something to connect to and that makes us happy:music. It's awesome that your mom supports your musical interests. My mom is the same way. She barely understands anything that's being said in any song on my iPod but it makes here feel young so I guess that's good enough for her. If your mom is anything like mine, she probably gets a lot of the words wrong which can be annoying when it's one of your favorite songs lol
ReplyDeleteKeep on enjoying your music!
Awwww you are so right!! Its amazing the connection that you can get with music its so tantalizing :) and yes my mom is off key and mixes up words too but its all good. Your mom sounds cool :D
